Stable CM9 for Galaxy Ace GT-S5830

Posted by Unknown Minggu, 07 Juli 2013 0 komentar
Hello, it's been long time that i never update me blog..... now i will share to all of the Samsng Galaxy Ace users the flashing of super smooth Cyanogenmod 9 (ICS 4.0.4) to our phone.

The things that we need:
1. A piece of ROOTED Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 (How to root)
2. A computer
3. A USB cable
4. A partitioned sdcard with ext 2/3/4 format (ext3 is most prefered) (How to partition your sdcard)
5. PATIENCE

Please take note that removing your SIM card before doing all this will help you to reduce your phone's balance's usage because the mobile data usage after flashing the new ROM will really cost you something if you keep on forgetting to switch it off, ignore this if you don't care.

Okay, enough for nonsense, let's get us started.
1. Backup your contacts and sms with Super Backup : SMS & Contacts or GO Backup & Restore Pro.

2. It seems that using Super backup is better than Go backup, sms as well as contacts can be backed up
with Super backup, but Go backup can only backup contacts.

3. Backup your apps with data by using both Titanium Backup and Go Backup, the reason of twice backing
up is I have tried that Titanium backup gets very weird when restoring apps in CM10.1 (JellyBean 4.2.2)
(although CM10.1 has nothing to do with CM9, but i still feel that there are some relations between them,
and so i decided to use a safe strategy for flashing of CM9 after failed in CM10.1), but restoring of only
data will just be normal, then Go backup gives us the features of restoring both apps and data at the
same time, but it seems that it can only restore the app but not the data, so my strategy is to combine 2
of this apps to restore apps with Go backup and data with Titanium backup after successfully flashing the
CM9. Phewww... long story, it's alright, just get back to where we were...

4. Okay you are done with backing up apps, contacts, and sms. Now just reboot to CWM recovery mode.

5. Choose 'backup and restore', choose again 'backup'

6. Wait. Done.

7. Choose 'factory reset' and then 'wipe cache partition' and then 'mount and storage' then 'format /system'.

8. Press back button once, choose 'advanced' then 'wipe dalvik cache' and 'wipe battery stats'.

9. Press back button once, choose 'install zip from sdcard'

10. Choose to flash the 'cm9_cooper.....zip' that you can get it from here.

11. Wait. Done.

12. You don't need any Gapps.zip since this ROM has already included the Gapps.

13. Reboot.

14. Sign in your Gmail.

15. Go to setting>security, tick for 'Unknown Sources' and open your App drawer and open Google
Settings, choose 'Verify' and untick the 'Verify Apps'.

16. Go to setting>developer options and Tick that 'ADB debugging', press on 'root access', choose Apps
and ADB, the following step is opotional but i recommend you to do, scroll to the lowest end, press on
'Background precessing  limit' and choose 'at most 1 process', then tick the 'Kill app back button', this
can help u sometimes if the phone is very lag (just keep holding back button for 3 seconds, it will kill the
      foreground app).

17. Install both Titanium Backup and Root Explorer.

18. Open Root Explorer, and copy that 03mountsd file that you can download it from here to
      /system/etc/init.d folder.

19. Long hold the 03mountsd file and choose 'permissions'. If it says the file is only read-only, just press the
'R/W' button somewhere on your screen, and try long pressing again.

20. Just tick them all like the picture given below.

21. Reboot your phone.

22. Open Terminal Emulator from app drawer, and type 'su', then type 'mount | grep sd-ext'.

23. You should get like the picture below.

24. Exit Terminal Emulator and reboot your phone to recovery mode.

25. Backup your phone again (optional but recommended) because you are going to take few really risky
      steps after this.

26. Boot up your phone, and open Play Store, and search for 's2e' there.

27. Download it's free version(there's nothing different with donated version, but if you feel you really thank
this app so much, you may still buy the donated version).

28. Open it and give it root access.

29. Wait for it to be completely installed and tick the 'Application' and also the 'dalvik-cache' as shown on
      the picture below.

30. Don't do anything else except for going to your home screen and reboot your phone.

31. Just wait, booting up may take longer for now, but no more than 10 minutes and botting up successfully
means that you have succeeded to move apps apk and dalvik cache to sdext.

32. Follow this guide to move apps' data to sdext.

32. Now open Play Store and install Go backup, then choose to restore your apps (I assume you already
know how to restore your contacts and sms already), don't restore all apps in once, instead, partly
restoration is better since we have low internal memory, 30 apps in once and repeat the restoration until
all your apps are restored completely, if i'm not mistaken you will find that every of your restored apps
are out of data, don't worry if it happens this way, just follow the following steps.

33. Open Titanium Backup and use filter function to show only user apps.

34. Choose the batch function, it's either showing up a 'batch' when you press menu button or then green
'box with tick' button on the top-rightmost of your screen.

35. Just choose to restore ALL apps with data, and then choose to restore only data.

36. Reboot.

37. Reboot.

38. Reboot.

39. Rebooting for several times can help you to ensure that there is no problem happens to your phone.

40. You have succeeded.

Extra things that can help you to handle this new operating system:
1. After signing in with ur gmail, you may go to setting>data usage to switch mobile data off, unless you don't
care of your phone balance getting deducted.

2. You may go to setting>launcher>drawer to untick the 'join with apps' to disable the joining of widget and
apps, if you are really annoyed by this problem.

3. You may go to setting>system>status bar scroll down to tick the 'brightness control' so that hold on ur
status bar and drag it left or right can control brightness.

4. You may go to notification drawer>widget buttons> to choose which widget button you want it to show
    on your notification bar.

5. you may change ur time zone that is of your location in date and time setting.

6. You may go to setting>performance press ok when it promts out then tick 'surface dithering' and '16 bit
transperancy' , choose 'memory management' tick the 2 things, all these steps are optional, i have done
this, you may choose not to do this, if you don't want to risk anything.

Okay after long and boring steps, here's my final sentence, if you feel that i did help you somehow, just like my facebook page here or follow my blog for easier revisiting, or even donate me a cup of beer, thanks.

Moving Apps' data to sd ext using Titanium Backup

Posted by Unknown Jumat, 05 Juli 2013 0 komentar
Hey, today I'm going to show you how to move application data to sd ext (this works with every type of ext including ext 2/3/4), and after moving dalvik cache to sd ext, you will find out that there is still a slower consumption of internal memory, and this Apps' data is the culprit.....

First thing you need to do is to get Titanium Backup to be installed into your phone, you can get it (premium version) from this post. I assume that you have used someway to moved your dalvik cache to sd ext (mounts2sd/a2sd dark tremor/s2e/INT2EXT....)

See!! The /data/data only consumes me for about 9.58mb (from system apps) after I moved all user apps' data to sd ext.

After backing up your phone with
CWM (recommended), here are the procedures:

1. Open Titanium Backup (TB) and on top of your screen, there will be 3 tabs, choose the middle one.

2. You may use the filter function of TB to filter only show user apps instead of system apps (highly not
recommended to move data to sd ext).

3. Choose any one of the apps (for S2E/A2SDGUI user, it is not recommended to move data to sd ext),
long hold it and scroll down to choose 'move app data to SD'.

4. Agree if it promts you to create /data2 directory.

5. now I assume that you have filtered to show only user apps, and choose the batch function (either menu
button or the top rightmost corner).

6. Scroll down to choose move all app data to SD.

7. Press on 'select all'

8. Untick the one that you don't want it to be moved (S2E, A2SDGUI, Setcpu....and others).

9. Press the run button or if you don't see this button press the green tick button at top rightmost corner of
    screen.

10. Reboot for several times to ensure there is no problems.

If you think that I do help you in doing this you can either like my facebook page here, or donate me some pocket money, or even both.....thanks.

Hey, android user, are you wondering about how to do a turbo boost or some tweaks on android, here, i have to introduce about the Adrenaline v3 engine which wil help you out, I have tested on my phone, and it does work.

Here there are the features that Adrenaline Engine makes:
✔ Increase touchscreen sensitivity
✔ Less RAM usage through zipalign. | World first smart zipaligning
✔ Reduced /dbdata, /data, /sdcard usage of *.db files and faster database access. | World first smart
     sqlite optimizing
✔ Faster disk access through remount script (noatime, disabled barrier etc) | World first smart
     remounting
✔ Better network throughput from TCP tweaks and 3G tweaks
✔ Tons of prop tweaks
✔ Overall Better Performance and Battery Life

✔ Bypass website like thepiratebay.se | Thanks !
✔ CWM Flashable

1. Download this.

2. Copy the .zip file you have downloaded to anywhere of your sd card.

3. Reboot your phone into recovery screen (Clockworkmod). If you don't have an idea about what is
this, you may refer to here. I can't screenshot on recovery screen, so these few steps you have to do
    it without reference.

4. Do a backup by using the volume up or volume down key to choose 'backup and restore'. Wait
until the backup is finished, and make sure your phone has enough space for you to backup.

5. Choose 'mounts and storage'. and then choose 'mount system'.

6. Choose 'Install zip from sd card' and select the .zip file from your sd card. Wait for it to complete
    the installation.

7. Reboot.

8. After installation has been completed, you have to open your terminal emulator (Android stock
ROM users have to download this from Play Store, Cyanogenmod users don't need to download it,
    you already have this app).

9. type in this code:
su (press enter after inputing this)
boost (press enter again after inputing this)

10. Wait for it to be done, your phone is now tweaked, and you may try on some game to prove it's
performance, I have tested it on Final Fantasy III, and Cogs. It works really great. In my opinion,
you can do this once a week, don't do it everyday or more, or it will drain your batery faster.

Disclaimer: Please do this at your own risk, and don't blame me if there's happening of any error, but if the steps are carried out correctly, it has less chance to go wrong.

If you encounter any error, such as your phone stuck on boot screen, can't boot. You may restore your phone back.
1. Boot your phone into recovery screen.

2. Choose 'Backup and restore'.

3. Restore your phone.

Thanks for watching this thread, and if you are interested and want to know more about the future releases of this blog, please like this facebook page, thanks.

How to extend battery life

Posted by Unknown Jumat, 21 September 2012 0 komentar
Feeling that your phone's battery is used up faster than the time when you firstly bought your phone? Here is little techniques that may be able to help you out. Here, i mainly focus on how to calibrate your battery.I don't sure that this method will really help you out, but experts are recommending that we better calibrate our phone's battery for every a fixed duration, such as once a month.

What is calibration of battery? Battery will come to a state called memory effect, for example, say that you usually let it discharge about 20-25% and then do a full (100%) charge, then as the time goes on the battery will "forget" about the remaining 20-25% capacity that it can hold thus resulting a charge hold of 70-75% (as per this example, otherwise the numbers will change) of it's full capacity. This "loss" of the battery's "memory" is called Memory Effect. With calibration of battery, we can help it to regain its memory.

First way (Simpler):
1. Download this.

2. Open this App.

3. Plug in the charger to charge your phone.

4. Wait till it's fully charged.

5. Press the button 'Calibrate battery'.

6. It will say 'calibrate succeeded'.

7. Finish.

I found this video on Youtube, you may refer to what he do.

Thank you for watching my blog, now's the time to like my facebook page here, thanks.

How to save a wet phone

Posted by Unknown Sabtu, 25 Agustus 2012 0 komentar
Hello, today i wish to share with you on how to save a wet phone, what to do, and what should not be done, i will state them below.

TO DO:
1. Firstly, retrieve your handset from the drink right away. A prolonged plunge will increase the risk
    of damage.

2. Don't check if it still works or press any buttons, since putting pressure on the keys could shift
    liquid farther into the device.

3. In all cases, the best thing to do is immediately pull out the battery instead of powering it off, thus
minimizing power to the device that may cause it to short circuit.

4. If you own a handset with a nonreplaceable battery, like an iPhone or Nokia Lumia, then pulling
the battery isn't an option. You'll have to risk pressing a few buttons to check if it's still on and to
swiftly turn it off if it is. Take care when handling the phone in this case.

5. Remove any peripherals and attachments on your phone, such as cases.

6. Extract the SIM card and any SD cards it carries, leaving ports or covers on your handset open to
    aid ventilation.

7. Dry off everything with a towel, including the exterior of your handset, being careful not to let any
water drain into openings on the phone.

8. Even when everything's dry, it's very likely there's latent moisture within the device that you'll
want to get out before turning it on. The most oft-reported fix for a sodden phone is to bury the
handset in a bowl of dry(uncooked) rice. You can also use silica gel packs -- the kind used in shoe
boxes -- to greater effect. Place your phone in an airtight container and completely cover it with
your choice of desiccant. Leave the container for 24 to 48 hours for the material to draw all the
    moisture out of your handset.

9. When you're confident it's dried out, replace the battery and try switching it on. Good luck!

NOT TO DO:
1. No hairdryer, or applying heat to the device in other ways..

2. No freezer, or stick your phone in a freezer, wrapped in paper towel to prevent frost damage.
Supposedly, the reduced conductivity of water when close to freezing temperatures will stop your
phone from short circuiting when in use. But when the ice melted, your phone will end up just the
    same way.

BEWARE CORROSION:
If you succeed in reviving your phone, then congratulations! But you may not have yet won the war with the Grim Reaper of gadgetry. The metal within your phone coming into contact with water and oxygen may create rust that will corrode or rust over time.

Thanks for viewing, here's my facebook page, like it if you think that this blog does help you little, thanks.
